The Swamp Dog was inspired by the swamps of Savannah Georgia.

I was inspired by how still  the swamps can be, while at the same time teeming with life.

This sculptures design was created with creatures such as the ghostly Belgian Black Dog and the Scottish Kelpie in mind.

​

The sculpture is made of sculpey with a wire skeleton and decorated with unwoven green yarn that i painted with nail polish to make it appear heavy and wet.
