The Night Mouse was my first sculpture i had ever done. The goal was to create a creature that explained a phenomenon.
The Night Mouse can only be seen in UV light, a light that the human eye cannot readily see, however cats can. The Night Mouse explains why cats will stare at walls or react suddenly to something that is not there.
The creature design is a concoction of a mouse or rodent creature with a long bushy tail like a squirrels and feet similar to a tree frogs that allow them to stick to steep surfaces.
This sculpture was made with sculpey and a wire skeleton.
